The Historical Manuscripts Collection focuses on individuals who have been associated with the Johns Hopkins University. The collection is strong in the history of science, especially physics and chemistry; literary manuscripts of Hopkins-related authors; and the history of higher education. Papers of presidents and early faculty are especially well-represented. The collection policy for historical manuscripts defines the scope of the collection.
