Application Process


1) Check the potential employer's website or contact the Human Resources office for application requirements and appropriate contacts for your cover letter. Many employers currently require electronic submissions and some online tests. 

2) Start with WetFeet, a career database, for full-text articles and in-depth guides on resume writing and cover letters.

3) Consult the JHU Catalog and WorldCat database for reference works and books.on these topics.

JHU Catalog Materials:

Try Alphabetical Subjects--Library of Congress searches in the JHU Catalog on
resumes (employment), or on cover letters to browse titles by subject classification. 

Click on the link for cover letters to see the set of titles for that subject heading.

Click on the link for resumes (employment) to see the set of titles for that subject heading.

OR

Try Advanced keyword Subject keyword searches for resumes or cover letters and sort by publication date to view the most recent publications first.

 

Materials From Other Libraries:

Check the Worldcat database for the availability of more recent editions or comparable materials. Display the library holdings within the full record to identify if a local library has them, or try to borrow through Interlibrary Services.
