- Who may use the JHMI libraries -- If you're not a current JHU person, please read this before going to the library.
- Which Welch librarian do I ask about a particular subject area?
- To check books out of Eisenhower Library, JHMI patrons must have a library card --this is not their JHMI ID card. They can apply for this library card on the "How Do I...?" page of the Welch Library web site (look under "Submit a request/form").
- Laptops -- All laptops will work for JHMI and Homewood patrons, in both libraries.
- Historical Collections:
- Library of the Institute of the History of Medicine -- Located on the 3rd floor of the Welch Library. The secondary books and most post-1900 imprints circulate; books in locked collections, reference books, journals, and pre-1900 imprints do not circulate. - The Alan Mason Chesney Medical Archives -- This is the archive for the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins professional schools. Its holdings include personal papers and photographs.
