| Home > Library Services > Ask a Librarian > Reference Services Reference Services Reference Services at the Eisenhower Library use the Brandeis Model of Reference Service. The Information Desk on M-Level is staffed by JHU graduate students who answer directional questions, telephone calls, and routine questions such as catalog checks. Reference librarians are available in the Research Consultation Office immediately behind the Information Desk. Librarians in that office deal with substantive reference questions, and the office provides a setting in which patrons can discuss their needs without feeling rushed and in which the librarian can feel free to provide as much time and attention to each person as needed. Librarians are available in the Research Consultation Office the following times: Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters
Liaison Librarians Research Services and Collections Librarians and Government Publications, Maps & Law librarians at Eisenhower Library serve specific academic departments and programs. For the departments they serve, they are responsible for collecting library materials, providing instruction in the use of library materials, and serving as liaisons between MSEL and their departments. Librarians are also available for research consultations. You may contact the librarian responsible for your subject area directly or call the Information Desk at (410) 516-8335. Please see the list of liaison librarians here. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
