- Read and make a copy of these instructions.
- Read Johns Hopkins IT use policy.
- Close all programs except your browser.
- Login to the Johns Hopkins secure 'standard' network (both wired and wireless will work) using your JHED ID and password.
- Download Printing.zip (10 MB). Make a note of where the file is saved.
- Extract files from the Printing.zip file that you just saved. This can often be done by right clicking on file icon and then selecting a location where you want to save the extracted files.
- Close the browser you are using but do not log off of the network.
- Double click AIR file (You may see the full file name, AIR.BAT if you have extensions visible).
- An installation window will flash momentarily.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have an anti-spyware program running, you may be asked to confirm a change to HOSTS file when you run AIR.BAT file.
- Double click AIR_CopyPrint_W2K. (You may see the full file name, AIR_CopyPrint_W2K.exe, if you have extensions visible).
- Follow prompts to Install and Finish installation.
You will now have a "Copy Print on AIR" printer installed and can begin printing. CAVEAT: Do not change the name of this printer or its settings. If you do, the printing will no longer work. - You must be logged into the Johns Hopkins secure 'standard' network using your JHED ID and password.
- Begin printing as usual using your browser, word processor or other application.
- At the first popup window select "Copy Print on AIR" as your printer.
- Enter a name for your print job in the next popup window.
- Retrieve your printing from any of the public print stations in the library.
